Millie: This was from me to her. She wrote down a response, talking about how she was afraid of the same thing, but that forgetting was okay.
Millie: It was one of the only answers I could never really accept as it was. It's just… heartbreaking beyond words, imagining someone being okay with fading away into nothing. [...]
Millie: There are parts of her that are gone forever. Grandma and Grandpa are gone, so there's no one around to remember her childhood.
Millie: Then there's smaller things. What flowers she would grow in the garden in the back. Individual stories she'd read me. The weekends we'd all spend together. The finer details of her life are already fading away.
